Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has inaugurated three new Commissioners and eight Permanent Secretaries, charging them to uphold integrity, accountability, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Government House in Katsina, was part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to reposition the state’s civil and public service for improved efficiency.
Governor Radda, while addressing the appointees, cautioned that leadership should never be seen as a form of compensation but as a public trust that must be managed with sincerity and diligence.
“These offices are responsibilities, not rewards. You have been chosen to serve the people of Katsina State, and that service must reflect honesty, discipline, and transparency,” the governor stated.
The newly inaugurated Commissioners include Mrs. Aisha Aminu, a business administrator and former Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprises Development Agency (KASEDA); Engr. Dr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, a civil engineer and Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers; and Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia, who previously served as Commissioner for Water Resources, Information and Health between 1999 and 2003.
The eight newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Yusuf Ahmed (Katsina LGA), Aminu Ibrahim (Katsina LGA), Aishatu Abdullahi (Dutsin-ma LGA), Dasuki Ibrahim Abubakar (Malum-fashi LGA), Lawal Abashe (Matazu LGA), Ado Yahaya (Sabuwa LGA), Sani Rabi’u Jibiya (Jibia LGA), and Nasiru Ladan (Kaita LGA).

Governor Radda said the selection process was based on merit, competence, and proven records of service, stressing that the new appointees are expected to strengthen governance and deliver on the administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda.
He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by maintaining professionalism and ensuring that government policies translate into tangible benefits for citizens.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, service delivery, and institutional reforms, noting that effective leadership at all levels remains key to achieving sustainable development in Katsina State.
