Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, are reportedly working toward rekindling their marriage, following a period of separation that began earlier this year.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2014 after a decades-long relationship, were seen spending Easter weekend together in Barcelona, sparking speculation about a potential reconciliation. Catalan news outlet El Nacional reports that the pair are “prepared to give each other another chance” as they seek to rebuild their bond.
The news comes just months after their separation was confirmed in January, with divorce proceedings initiated in February. Sources suggest that the physical distance between the two may have strained the marriage. Serra, a respected fashion entrepreneur, relocated to Barcelona in 2019 with their youngest child, while Guardiola remained in Manchester, where he has continued to lead City’s title ambitions.
His decision to extend his managerial contract with Manchester City — a move that further cemented his stay in England — is believed to have played a role in their marital rift. However, in a bid to restore harmony, Guardiola now reportedly plans to make more frequent visits to Catalunya.

The couple, who began dating in 1994, have three children together and have largely kept their private lives away from the spotlight. This recent development hints at a shared commitment to preserving the family unit, even as Guardiola juggles intense professional responsibilities.
Off the pitch, Guardiola remains focused on Manchester City’s push for a top-four Premier League finish and a potential FA Cup triumph. But any hopes of a summer breather may be short-lived, with the Club World Cup looming on the horizon.
Still, amid the pressure of trophies and tactics, Guardiola appears to be prioritizing something far more personal — the healing of a fractured home.
