Guests have begun arriving at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, for the First Daily National Dialogue on Security, organised as part of activities marking the newspaper’s sixth anniversary.
The event, themed “Declaration of State of Emergency on Security: Matching Words with Action,” is expected to bring together policymakers, security experts, government officials, academics and other stakeholders to deliberate on Nigeria’s security challenges and explore practical solutions.
Among the early arrival was General Lucky Irabor (rtd.), former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), who is the keynote speaker for the dialogue. His arrival signals the commencement of activities ahead of the opening session.

Participants are continuing to file into the venue as organisers make final preparations for the event, which is expected to feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive sessions focused on strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture and translating policy commitments into concrete action.
The national dialogue forms the highlight of First Daily’s sixth anniversary celebration and reinforces the newspaper’s commitment to fostering informed conversations on critical national issues through journalism and public engagement.
