A gunman has shot and wounded five people, including students, near a high school in western Turkey.
The incident occurred at about 8am local time on Tuesday in Turgutlu district of Manisa Province, according to local media reports.
NTV reported that one of the victims sustained serious injuries in the attack.
The unidentified assailant reportedly opened fire in the area for an unknown reason before fleeing the scene.
Police and emergency medical personnel were deployed to the area as authorities launched a search for the suspect. Security measures were also strengthened around the school following the incident.

The shooting is the latest in a series of gun attacks reported in Turkey.
In April, a 14-year-old gunman opened fire at a school in Kahramanmaras Province, killing nine students aged between 10 and 11 and a teacher. The attacker was also killed at the scene.
In another incident in southeastern Sanliurfa Province, a former student opened fire at his former high school, injuring 16 people before taking his own life after being confronted by police.
The incidents have triggered public concern, with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan dismissing a deputy education minister and announcing plans for measures, including tighter restrictions on gun ownership.
