Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on have killed a businessman, Alhaji Gidado Hassan, abducting his wife and two children in Jalingo, Taraba
The incident, according to reports, occurred on Wednesday at his residence located at Mallam Audu village around 2am.
It was gathered that the gunmen, numbering about 12, stormed the deceased’s house to wreak havoc.
He was reportedly killed while the assailants were leading him and his family members to an unknown location.
The victim was buried at Jika Da Dari main burial ground at about 9.30 am on Thursday.
Before his death, he was a popular cattle merchant in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident.
