Six police officers have been killed by yet to be identified gunmen that attacked Odoro Ikpe Police Station, in Ini LGA of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.
FirstNews gathered that the hoodlums stormed the police station and fired gunshots at the officers on duty, killing six of them with other sustaining serious injuries.
The development was confirmed by the state Police Public Relation Officer, SP Odiko S. Ogbeche.
He said the state Commissioner of Police is currently at the scene of the incident with other senior police officers in the state.
He promised to give comprehensive details of the incident with causalities later.
