Hollywood Says Goodbye to Harris Yulin

For decades, Harris Yulin lit up screens with a quiet intensity that didn’t seek attention but always commanded it. Now, that light is gone.

The Scarface and Ghostbusters II actor died on Tuesday, the 10th of June, 2025, at age 87.

The veteran actor died of cardiac arrest.

Many fans missed the news. It wasn’t a splashy headline. It came in the form of a simple confirmation days later from his manager, Sue Leibman.

She told The Post that a memorial would be announced later.

In her tribute, she captured what many in the acting world knew but rarely said out loud: “Yulin was part of the vanguard of generation that passionately cared about the craft of acting. This lifelong dedication led to extraordinary, resonant performances that were a gift to actors he worked with, audiences, and the art of acting itself.”

Yulin never chased celebrity. He chose scripts that challenged him, characters that disturbed or inspired. He was the kind of actor other actors watched.

His passing didn’t break the internet. It didn’t need to. His legacy was built on something more lasting than trends craft, depth, and a fierce love for the work.

Do you remember his cold stare in Scarface? His eerie authority in Ghostbusters II? If you do, then you understand what the noise can’t capture: presence.
And Harris Yulin had it. Quietly. Powerfully. Completely.

May his soul continue to rest in peace.
