Unidentified hoodlums, on Monday, attacked operatives of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad around Herbert Macaulay Way in the Yaba area of the state.
Footage trending online showed the hoodlums hurling stones and other harmful objects at the patrol vehicles belonging to the RRS.
RRS operatives were said to be plying the route to link a destination to the Lekki area in the state when the hoodlums launched an attack on them.
In attempt to escape the mob attack, the RRS operatives were also seen in the footage abandoning their patrol vehicles and fleeing from the scene of the incident in different directions.
Some of the RRS operatives were said to have sustained some injuries while their patrol vehicles were damaged by the hoodlums.
The state police command has yet to make any statement regarding the incident as of the time of publishing this report.
