…says ‘he gave me N2m to fuel my car back to my base’
Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Tuesday recounted his encounter with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Igboho spoke in an Instagram Live Chat with Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu.
The activist explained that he met Tinubu during the build-up to a governorship election in Ondo State involving former governor Olusegun Mimiko.
Igboho disclosed that former Oyo State governor, Alhaji Rasheed Ladoja, informed him that Tinubu would like to see him at his Bourdillon residence in Lagos.
The activist said he then travelled to Lagos, where he held a meeting with Tinubu, who pleaded with him not to support the Peoples Democratic Party in the election because the party’s legislators impeached Ladoja.
He said that Tinubu then gave him N2m to fuel his vehicle to travel back to Ibadan.
Igboho also denied making his money from thuggery, claiming to be a businessman, who also sells cars.
