Former President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC), dismissing speculation about his political stance.
In a statement released on Thursday, March 13, by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari made it clear that he remains a committed APC member and intends to promote the party.
“I am an APC member and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularise the party by all means,” he stated.

Without naming individuals or specific issues within the party, Buhari emphasised his gratitude to the APC for supporting him throughout his presidency and said he would never abandon it.
He also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the party’s founding members to uphold the constitution and democracy, describing them as efforts that should be preserved.
