Jenny McCarthy has disclosed that she took a sacred item from Pope Francis during a trip to Italy.
According to Fox News, the TV personality, who grew up in a devout Catholic family, made this confession on the “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa” podcast on the 17th of July, 2024.
“I stole a cross from the Vatican and gave it to my mother,” ‘the Masked Singer judge told host Kelly Ripa.
“My mom’s like, ‘You know, this is not okay,’” she added.
McCarthy, however, clarified that she didn’t “personally” steal the cross; it was taken by one of her girlfriends during their visit to the Pope’s apartment in Vatican City.
She also revealed that her mother, Linda, has kept the cross, which is prominently displayed in her home.
“She still has it on the wall, though, so I feel like it was — it’s in good hands,” McCarthy said.
