President Bola Tinubu has openly admitted he enjoys watching opposition parties in disarray and has no plans to offer them any help.
Speaking during his State of the Nation address at a joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday, the president said, “I will not advise the opposition to put its house in order and I will not help them put their house in order. It is indeed a pleasure to see you in disarray.”
The session was held as part of events to commemorate Nigeria’s Democracy Day.

Tinubu’s comment comes at a time when several politicians from rival camps have been defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), fuelling concerns that the country may be heading toward one-party dominance.
But the president quickly dismissed such fears, insisting his administration was not steering the country towards a one-party state.
