Popular Nigerian music producer, Olumide Ogunade, fondly called ID Cabasa, has written to the late singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, to inform him about Peter and Paul Okoye’s reunion.
The music producer on Friday shared Sound Sultan’s picture on his Instagram page and wrote “Hey Lanre, P-Square are back.”
This came after the popular singing twin brothers, P-Square, jointly performed for the first time in five years following their squabble, which led to the dispersion of their group, P-Square in 2017.
Recall that Sound Sultan died of throat cancer in July 2021 and during his tribute service, his elder brother, Dare, fondly called ‘Baba Dee’, summoned the twins to settle their differences as a symbol of respect to the late singer.
Baba Dee had stated that Sound Sultan introduced him to P-Square as he begged them to end their fissure.
Sound Sultan’s tribute event had also led to the reunion of the members of the now-defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz, as 2Baba, Black Face, and Faze, were spotted together for the first time since their breakout over a decade ago.
With P-Square’s reconciliation, the music producer, ID Cabasa considered it important to inform the late singer of the new development.
The two brothers jointly celebrated their 40th birthday and performed some of their hit songs as they entertained guests in their birthday celebration.
