Igbokwe Demands Sacking of Soldier Who Confronted FCT Minister Wike

Joe Igbokwe, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress, has demanded the removal of the soldier who confronted the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, the 11th of November, 2025.

The soldier, whose identity remains unknown, prevented Wike and FCTA officials from entering a section of land in the FCT.

Claiming he was following orders, the officer told Wike he could not access the property. Wike challenged his authority, sparking a tense exchange.

On Facebook, Igbokwe criticized the soldier, asking, “Who is this man in uniform? Of what meat is he fed? Who is beating the drum for him? This is unacceptable? His uniform has to be removed.”

Lere Olayinka, Wike’s media aide, added that a former Chief of Naval Staff allegedly instructed the soldier to block the minister.
