IGP Disu Consoles Family Of Fallen Police Officer, Pledges Support

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Thursday visited the family of late Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ejeh Alfred, who died in the line of duty earlier in April.

The condolence visit took place at the family’s residence in Abuja, where the police chief met with the widow, Mrs. Mercy Ejeh, her children, and other relatives, offering words of comfort and solidarity.

ASP Ejeh, who served as a driver with the Nigeria Police Airwing, lost his life during an operational mission on April 17, 2026. His death has been described by the police leadership as a painful loss to the Force and the nation.

Speaking during the visit, Disu paid tribute to the fallen officer, describing him as a dedicated and committed professional whose sacrifice would not be forgotten.
