Nigerian super eagle’s striker, Kelechi Iheanacho on Sunday scored his first Premier League hat-trick and also gave an assist to his club, Leicester City thrashing Sheffield United 5-0 at the King Power Stadium.
Iheanacho opened the scoring in the 39th minutes of the first half as he tapped home a sweeping Jamie Vardy cross to give the home team the lead. He has now scored in three successive Premier League games for the first time.
Leicester doubled the lead after the break when Ayoze Perez made it two-nil in the 64th minutes with a lovely finish. Iheanacho scored his second goal in the 69th minutes when Vardy once again set him up with a lovely pass.
The former Taye Academy striker completed his hat-trick with a beautiful goal as he powered home from 25 yards to make it four-nil before Vardy’s cross was turned home by Ethan Ampadu at close range to make it 5-0.
Leicester are now five points clear above Chelsea in fourth and eight points above West Ham in fifth, while Sheffield United remains at the bottom of the table with 14 points.
