President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday said he was ready to die for Nigeria.
The president spoke while delivering his Democracy Day speech in a nationwide broadcast on Saturday morning.
He also promised that the country would surmount various challenges, especially insecurity affecting it, soon.
According to him, his government has been working to stop killings in different parts of Nigeria.
His words: “Overcoming the present challenges is but one of the necessary processes that we have to undergo as a nation so that we can come out stronger.
“The day I joined the Nigerian Army, I was prepared to lay down my life for Nigeria”.
