Residents of Imala Ward 14 in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State have called on the state government to fix their 7.5-kilometre road, citing its poor condition and impact on development.
The appeal was contained in a statement issued on Sunday, the 29th of March, 2026, in Abeokuta and signed by the Imala Development Coordinator, Mr Steven Adetomiwa.
The community said the road has deteriorated over time and is no longer fit for use, affecting growth in the area.
Adetomiwa urged Governor Dapo Abiodun to reconstruct the road, noting that it was originally built by Chief Obafemi Awolowo and now requires urgent attention.
The statement reads, “On behalf of Imala ward 14 community in Abeokuta North Local Government, we write to appreciate your elongated two-term tenure as Governor of Ogun State and wishing you many more prosperous future endeavours.
