The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed claims that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) refused to recognise its newly appointed leadership under Senator David Mark.
In a post shared on Wednesday, August 6, via his official X handle, ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the report as false and misleading.
“The attention of ADC has been drawn to a story circulating that the INEC has refused to recognise the new leadership of our party under the Distinguished Senator David Mark,” Abdullahi wrote.

“This story is entirely false and should be ignored,” he added.
The party called on Nigerians to disregard the report and instead channel their energy toward the broader mission of national transformation.
“We urge Nigerian people to ignore such misleading reports from any quarters and stay focused on mobilising the long-suffering people of Nigeria for the great task to save our dear country,” Abdullahi stated.
The clarification comes as the ADC ramps up political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
