Bayer Leverkusen forward Nathan Tella has pulled out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe due to injury.
Tella was named in the final 23-man list released on Tuesday but did not feature in Leverkusen’s 0-2 loss to Bayern Munich in their Champions League Round of 16 clash the same day.
Following confirmation of his injury, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has brought in Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha as a replacement.
