Iran’s health ministry has reported that at least 610 civilians have been killed and more than 4,700 others injured since Israeli airstrikes began on June 13, marking a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two nations.
Providing the updated casualty figures shared on X, Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said on Tuesday that all the victims were civilians.
The new toll reflects a significant rise from earlier reports of over 400 deaths and 3,056 injuries.
“Over the past 12 days, hospitals across the country have faced extremely distressing scenes,” Kermanpour wrote.

According to the ministry, the dead include 13 children, the youngest just two months old as well as five doctors and emergency responders.
In addition to human casualties, seven hospitals and nine ambulances have reportedly been damaged in the strikes.
The intensifying hostilities come amid growing international concern over the scale of civilian suffering, with calls mounting for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict.
