Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed swift and severe retaliation against Iran following a missile strike that reportedly targeted Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva and civilian areas in central Israel.
The early morning attack on Thursday has been attributed to Iran’s terror proxies, according to Israeli authorities.
While full details regarding casualties and the extent of the damage remain unconfirmed, the strike has heightened already volatile tensions between the two countries.
In a statement posted on his social media platform X, Netanyahu said, “This morning, Iran’s terror proxies launched missiles toward Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva and at the civilian population in central Israel.
“We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”
The latest attack follows earlier Iranian strikes that Israeli officials say have killed at least 24 people.

However, Israel’s missile defense system, the Iron Dome, reportedly intercepted only 10 missiles, hinting at a possible decline in the volume or intensity of Iranian rocket fire.
The confrontation between Israel and Iran escalated into open conflict after Israel launched what it described as “preemptive strikes” on Iranian targets earlier this week.
Since then, the exchange of attacks has resulted in dozens of casualties and raised alarm over regional security.
International observers are closely monitoring the situation, as fears grow that the conflict could spiral into a broader war involving other Middle Eastern countries.
