Two brothers, Siyabonga Ndimande and Malusi Ndimande, have been extradited from Eswatini to South Africa to face trial for the February 2023 murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
The extradition, completed on 11 November 2025, followed months of legal challenges in Eswatini.
The brothers arrived under heavy police security at King Shaka International Airport in Durban and were immediately taken to court.
They face a total of 24 charges across three cases, including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Authorities also link them to the killing of a taxi boss in Amanzimtoti and other violent crimes.
At their first court appearance, prosecutors revealed investigators are probing a business bank account allegedly used to pay those involved in the attack.
Police are now focusing on identifying the alleged “mastermind” who coordinated the killings and financed the operatives.
The case has been postponed to 25 November 2025 for pre-trial processes and to allow the defence team to meet the accused.

South African authorities described the evidence against the brothers as “watertight” and expressed confidence in securing justice.
The extradition and forthcoming trial mark a significant milestone for the families of AKA and Tibz, who have awaited accountability for nearly three years.
Aka’s mother, Lynn Forbes, expressed her relief and frustration in a statement:
“If you were the one coming home today… that would be justice for me. Everyone else is just a process. This South African air is suffocating today. I cannot breathe.”
