The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as untrue a claim circulating from a group identified as the Arewa APC Forum, Kano State Chapter, which alleged that support had been withdrawn for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Auwalu Abdullahi, described the report as false, misleading, and a deliberate effort to damage the party’s reputation.
According to the APC, no legitimate or constitutionally recognised body within its structure has made such a decision.
The party stressed that its Kano chapter remains fully loyal to Tinubu and continues to back his administration.
The statement read, “The APC in Kano is aware of attempts by certain individuals and faceless groups to create confusion and disunity within the party.

We wish to state categorically that this so-called forum is not known to the party structure and does not represent the views of APC members in Kano State.”
Reaffirming its stance, the party expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting ongoing efforts by his administration to deliver on governance, economic reforms, and national development.
Under the leadership of Umar Doguwa, the Kano APC called on members and the public to ignore the purported statement, labelling it the work of individuals seeking to stir unnecessary tension.
The statement concluded by reiterating the party’s unity and unwavering support for Tinubu’s vision for a better Nigeria.
“The so-called signatory of the purported withdrawal is faceless and not a stakeholder of the party at any level in Kano,” the statement read.
