Nigerian football powerhouse, Kano Pillars FC, has announced a landmark partnership deal with global media giant, Radio France International (RFI), reportedly valued at ₦100 million.
This game-changing agreement sees RFI step in as an official sponsor of the club, with a particular focus on media development and branding.
Under the terms of the deal, RFI will sponsor the club’s official kits, provide cutting-edge media equipment, and offer professional training for Kano Pillars’ media team, with a focus on modern video production techniques.
Additionally, Kano Pillars will gain international media exposure through publications and features on RFI’s global platforms, marking a significant step forward in the club’s global branding and visibility.

The deal is the first of its kind for Kano Pillars and is seen as a direct result of the leadership of the club’s newly appointed General Manager, Ahmed Musa, who has wasted no time in making bold strategic moves since taking charge.
“This is not just a sponsorship — it’s a complete media revolution for Kano Pillars,” Musa said during the unveiling ceremony at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. “We’re setting a new standard in Nigerian club football, and we’re grateful to RFI for believing in our vision.”
Industry analysts say the partnership could reshape how Nigerian football clubs leverage media for growth and revenue, and potentially inspire other top-flight teams to follow suit.
With the new season on the horizon, fans are already buzzing about the enhanced visibility and international touch the club is set to enjoy.
