Kanu’s trial: Police swoop on IPOB members around court premises

Police operatives on Monday clamped down on members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that came to the Federal High Court in Abuja ahead of the trial of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

FirstNews gathered that some police officers swung into action to disperse the IPOB members when their numbers were growing into a huge crowd.

Meanwhile, Kanu was yet to arrive at the court for his trial as at the time this report was filed.

FirstNews had reported that the High Court had shortlisted 10 journalists to cover the trial.

The accredited are Daily Post, ThisDay, Premium Times, The Nation, Daily Independent, The Herald, National Television Authority, Television Continental, African Independent Television, and Channels Television.
