Real Madrid have confirmed that forward Kylian Mbappé is a doubt for the upcoming El Clásico on May 10 after the French star picked up a thigh injury.
The club announced on Monday that the striker suffered a muscle problem in his left leg during their 1-1 La Liga draw against Real Betis on Friday, a match in which he was forced off due to discomfort.
“He has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg,” said Los Blancos in a statement, after the France captain went off hurt during Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Real Betis in La Liga last Friday.

The setback casts uncertainty over his availability for a crucial run of fixtures, with Madrid currently sitting second in La Liga, 11 points behind leaders Barcelona.
