Labour Party denies working for, planning to step down for any party

According to Abubakar Ali, the chairman of the Labour Party’s House of Representative and House of Assembly Candidates’ Forum in Kano State, the party will not stepdown for any political party in the general election of 2023.

According to Ali, who is running for the state House of Assembly in the Bagwai Constituency, the party is vying for votes at all levels in the next general elections.

At a town hall gathering held in Kano to present the party’s platform to its leaders and followers, he made this statement.

As the party strives to win by 60% and not 25%, the party stalwart expressed optimism about a landslide victory in the state.

He said, “We are not working for any political party. We are in the race to win the forthcoming elections and by May 29, we will be sworn in.

“Labour Party is gaining momentum in Kano and Northern Nigeria.

“The bad governance by APC is affecting all of us and so we are waiting for the election to deliver victory to Peter Obi.

“We are not talking about giving LP 25 per cent votes in Kano, but 60 per cent and we are ready to do just that.”

According to Mohammed Raji, the party’s chairman in the state, the party is not giving up and is assiduously working to mobilize support for the party, which will result in victory for the party from bottom to top.
