Operatives of the Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) have initiated the removal of unauthorized structures that have been constructed along the drainage system on the Ebutte Meta – Oyingbo market route.

The operation commenced after the notices had expired and following direct one-on-one advocacy efforts in the community.

The agency made the announcement in a post shared on its X handle on Thursday.

The post read, “Following the expiration of served notices and direct one-on-one advocacy, our Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial have now begun removing illegal structures built on drainage along the Ebutte Meta – Oyingbo market corridor.

“This decisive action reaffirms our zero-tolerance policy toward environmental nuisances and is a critical step in restoring clean, safe public spaces for all Lagosians.”
