Lagos has spent N150bn to build infrastructure – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday said N150 billion had so far been spent to build infrastructure in the state.

The governor spoke while inaugurating two road rehabilitation projects in Sabo-Yaba, sponsored by Custodian Investment PLC.

Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, Mrs Aramide Adeyoye said his administration has been focusing on infrastructure provision in the quest to achieve ‘Transportation and Traffic Management Pillar T in the T.H.E.M.E.  Agenda” of the state.

“In the last one and a half years, the Public Works Corporation, which is the maintenance arm of the government has rehabilitated over 347 roads.

“It is not out of surprise that 1.161 per cent out of our budget size, a substantial portion of it totalling over N150 billion is committed to infrastructure provision”, the governor said.
