Athletes will compete for a $100,000 prize purse across five days of action, featuring men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles events, alongside crucial world ranking points.

Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Adesoji Tayo, said the increasing global turnout reflects Lagos’ rising reputation as one of the most vibrant and well-organized stops on the international table tennis calendar.

He noted that the city continues to attract top athletes due to its competitive atmosphere, strong organisation and distinctive hospitality.

The WTT Contender Series serves as a key pathway for players moving between development levels and elite competitions, including the WTT Champions series, making the Lagos stop a strategic ranking opportunity for both established stars and rising talents.
