A legal battle is brewing between popular Lagos restaurant Lounge Thirty8 and a social media user who accused the brand of horrifying crimes.
The woman, posting under the X handle @General_Somto, shared a string of disturbing allegations about the eatery’s branch on Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road. In emotional video clips, she described a chilling encounter near the female restroom and claimed she had been held against her will.
“I’m not lying,” she said. “Inside the restaurant, the first door after the female restroom. Go and check it. Many people have died. I’m not trying to ruin anyone’s business.”
She went further, alleging that she found “white clothes” and “charms” behind a door near the restroom.
Her reaction? “When I saw it, I shouted, ‘Blood of Jesus!”

The restaurant’s management fired back with a strongly worded response. They dismissed the claims as “baseless and malicious,” accusing business competitors of being behind what they called a desperate move.
“Our restaurant operates with the highest standards of safety, integrity, and respect for human rights and dignity. It is clear that competitors who have not been able to upstage us business-wise have resorted to this devilish strategy.”
They have taken legal steps and notified security agencies. The management believes justice will be served.
“This is an opportunity to thank our loyal customers for their continued trust and support while welcoming new customers to experience our delicious meals and high-level hospitality,” the restaurant stated.
