The Lagos State Taskforce has arrested 30 suspects during a midnight clean-up operation aimed at ridding the Lagos Mainland of criminal elements.
The operation, which took place in parts of Agege, commenced around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, targeting known spots including Isale Oja, the railway line, and AP Junction in the Agege area of Lagos State.
The Senior Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Jubril Gawat, disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Wednesday.
According to Gawat, all arrested individuals will be charged to court accordingly.

Gawat’s post read, “In continuation of the Lagos State Taskforce CleanUp enforcement operation to rid the State of criminal elements, the Agency set out at about 22:00hrs on Tuesday, 20th May, 2025, and embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation in the state.
“The areas visited during the operation include: Isale Oja, Railways line, AP junction in Agege areas, where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed, particularly on the rail track.
“During the RAID exercise, a total of 30 suspects were arrested, and sanity was restored. All the Suspects will be charged to court accordingly.”
