A teenager and two adult males lost their lives after a two-storey building under construction collapsed at Northern Vulture Estate, Chevron Drive, Lagos.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the incident on Wednesday, reporting that six other victims sustained serious injuries.
“A young boy, about 15 years old, and two adult males recovered were confirmed dead and subsequently bagged by emergency responders,” said LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.
He added that the bodies were handed over to State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) officials while the injured received medical attention.
LASEMA stated that the collapsed structure had been completely demolished, and search and rescue operations had concluded.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the collapse, as investigations are ongoing.
