The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has ordered all academic and non-academic staff currently on strike to resume work on Monday, following the resolution of their grievances by the Lagos State Government.
In a statement signed by Mrs. Thomas-Onashile Oluwayemisi, Coordinator of the Centre for Information and Public Relations, the university confirmed that the institution’s proprietor, the Lagos State Government, had fully addressed the issues that prompted the industrial action.

“The academic and non-academic staff should resume work on Monday,” the statement read, signaling an end to over a week of work stoppage that had disrupted academic and administrative activities on campus.
The strike, which began last week, saw workers demanding improvements in welfare and working conditions. With the state government’s intervention and management’s directive, LASU is expected to return to normal operations.
