Leverkusen Sacks Ten Hag After Just Two Bundesliga Matches

Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly dismissed head coach Erik ten Hag only two games into the new Bundesliga season.

The Dutchman and former Manchester United manager, who took charge of the German champions in the summer, has been shown the exit door following a disappointing start to the campaign, according to multiple reports in Germany.

Ten Hag’s short-lived tenure comes as a surprise to many, given the high expectations surrounding his arrival after leaving Manchester United.

However, a poor run of results in the opening fixtures appears to have prompted the club’s hierarchy to act swiftly.

Leverkusen are now expected to name an interim manager while the search for a permanent replacement gets underway.
