Lil Nas X Faces Four Felonies After Chaotic LA Street Clash

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X has been charged with four felony counts after an incident with police in Studio City, Los Angeles, on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

The 26-year-old artist, born Montero Lamar Hill, allegedly clashed with officers responding to calls about a nearly nude man behaving erratically on Ventura Boulevard around 6 a.m.

As earlier reported by a correspondent at First Daily, Lil Nas X, dressed only in underwear and cowboy boots with a traffic cone on his head, became aggressive when approached and charged at officers, leaving three of them injured.

Paramedics later transported him to a hospital for evaluation and treatment of a suspected overdose before he was booked into custody at 11:22 a.m. the same day.

On Monday, August 25, 2025, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed he is facing three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. Each charge carries potential prison time of up to three years and fines reaching $10,000.

Lil Nas X appeared for arraignment in Van Nuys on August 25, where prosecutors requested he be held without bail pending further hearings. He has not yet entered a plea.

The Atlanta-born star, who rose to international fame with the 2019 hit Old Town Road, has recently spoken about personal struggles, describing the past few years as “difficult” and expressing a need to regain confidence in his career and life.

The case has sparked concern among fans and industry watchers about both his health and future in music.
