Popular Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, fondly called Sabinus, has shared a painful personal story about love, revealing how a past relationship ended despite his grand romantic gestures.
During a recent livestream conversation with TikTok personality Sandra Benede, the skit maker described love as “cruel,” saying he deeply understands the emotional turmoil currently faced by TikTok influencer Peller following his breakup with his partner, Jarvis.
Sabinus noted that he had once experienced a situation similar to Peller’s, who has drawn public attention after emotional outbursts and a serious car accident linked to the heartbreak.
Recounting his own ordeal, the comedian said he once went as far as gifting a woman a Range Rover as an expression of love, only for the relationship to eventually collapse. He admitted that the decision later became a source of regret.

He appealed to the public to show empathy toward Peller, emphasizing that emotional pain from failed relationships can be overwhelming.
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” Sabinus said.
Recall that Sabinus also disclosed during a TikTok livestream in December 2025 that his marriage to his wife and the mother of his child, Ciana Chapman, had come to an end.
The comedian married Chapman in a private ceremony in 2023, with the union reportedly lasting a little over one year before their separation.
