A 68-year old man and a retired American Navy Officer, simply identified as Joseph has fled his house around Nnebisi road in Asaba, Delta State, over his 31-year-old wife’s alleged infidelity and fetish sacrifices.
It was gathered that this would be the second time the man would be moving out of his house over the wife, identified as Ifeoma alleged infidelity and involvement in fetish sacrifices.
The landlord of his house, who spoke to our correspondent but did not want his name in print said, “Joseph is our tenant because my younger brother abroad owns the house. I am taking care of the house. Joseph had been having problem with his wife over Infidelity over the years. Joseph had children abroad from a black American and they lived together before he returned to Nigeria.
“He is my brother’s friend in the US. Joseph had once destroyed her phone because of her flirtatiousness and she begged she won’t do it again.”
According to the landlord, Ifeoma and Joseph are both from Delta State and had two children.
It was learnt that trouble started when Ijeoma, a housewife was allegedly caught making it out with a gateman of the house.
She was said to have sneaked out of their apartment while the husband was fast asleep at night to give food to the gate man.
It was learnt that while she and the gateman were in hot romance, the husband, who was searching for her after waking up from sleep and did not see her, caught her putting on only nightgown and in uncomfortable position with the gateman.
The beating she received from the husband is said to have attracted the neighbours who freed her from the angry husband.
It was further learnt that the husband the flowing morning took some of his belongings and has not been seen again in the house or area since then.
The caretaker of the house who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “The housewife was a member of a popular church in our street here. It is the same way she was romancing a member of the church that was blown open and she was suspended by the pastor.
“She was working in a hotel in Asaba where Joseph found her and asked her hand in marriage. Joseph used to bring her to our house all night before he married her. The woman is very flirtatious. I had to sack the gateman after the mess she found herself in. She often indulge in such act with people around her when her husband goes out”
It was further gathered that Ifeoma’s house help identified as Chisom were in the business together.
Joseph, who spoke from a hotel in Asaba where he is cooling off his head, told our correspondent, ” I don’t want to talk about that woman again and I shall be taking a decision on her.”
In her reaction, Ifeoma said, “My husband told me she married me not for love but for pity. He is sexually dead and he uses Viagra for me. I have always been crying because each time he manages to meet with me he does not last up to two seconds. I have two children ( boys) it was by the grace of God and for three years now he had not touched me.
“I need helps because he does not allow me to go outside. I have no job again because he didn’t allow me to be working at where I do I get money to care for my two children.
“My husband is very caring but he cannot make love to me because he is sexually dead and I was praying that the situation will improve to no avail.”
