Man United Land Record £20m Betway Training Kit Deal

Manchester United have announced a record training kit sponsorship agreement with Betway, reportedly worth £20 million ($26 million) annually.

Confirmed on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the deal will see Betway become the club’s official principal partner, with its logo appearing on the training kits of United’s men’s and women’s teams, alongside branding at Old Trafford and across the club’s commercial platforms.

The agreement ends United’s season-long search for a new training wear sponsor after their partnership with blockchain firm Tezos expired in June 2025. The club went through the 2025/26 campaign without a dedicated training kit partner before securing the new deal.

The reported value makes the Betway agreement the biggest training kit sponsorship deal in football, with United’s return to the UEFA Champions League helping strengthen their appeal to major global brands.

The partnership comes as the Premier League prepares to enforce new rules banning gambling companies from appearing on the front of matchday shirts from the 2026/27 season. However, betting firms remain permitted to sponsor training wear and other commercial assets.

Manchester United Chief Business Officer Marc Armstrong said the deal reflected the club’s commercial growth and worldwide appeal.

“We are delighted to welcome Betway as official principal partner. The scale of our exciting new partnership reflects our growth strategy, the enduring global strength and appeal of Manchester United, and our ability to attract leading brands that want to engage with our vast worldwide fanbase,” Armstrong said.

The Betway agreement further strengthens United’s commercial position as the club continues to leverage its global following to secure major partnerships beyond matchday revenues.
