Missing Vanguard reporter found dead

A Vanguard Newspaper reporter, who was declared missing last month,Tordue Salem, has been found dead.

According to the newspaper, details surrounding the recovery of his dead body are still sketchy.

Salem, who was a Federal House of Representatives correspondent, was last seen around Total filling station close to the Force headquarters, Abuja.

Meanwhile, a suspect had been arrested in connection with his whereabouts.

The suspect, Prince Enyenihi, 25, was arrested while trying to extort the family by sending a text message asking them to pay N100 million as ransom.

 “If you don’t pay, Tordue will be killed in seven days. For more information, call this number”, part of his text message read.

While going through interrogation, he confessed that he got the phone number of Salem’s wife on a flyer that declared him missing and used that to demand the ransom.
