Adura Aloba, the younger brother of the late musician Mohbad, was taken into custody by Nigerian law enforcement on Wednesday, amidst a tumultuous scene outside the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos State. The arrest occurred immediately following a court proceeding related to a dispute over a mobile phone.
Adura Aloba, alongside his acquaintance, Ibrahim Koleosho, known as King White, had attended the court session concerning a phone transaction with Damola Ayinde. The situation escalated rapidly following the conclusion of the proceedings as Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Aloba, expressed profound distress over her son’s arrest.
In a widely circulated video, she pleaded for public assistance, alleging that Nollywood actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi, along with a person named Sam Jojo, were responsible for Adura’s apprehension.
She stated, “Please help me, people of God! It’s Yomi Fabiyi. They have taken away my son, Adura, and I don’t know where they are taking him.”
She further asserted that Adura was innocent and in ill health, imploring that he not be harmed.

Accounts from a police source indicate that the arrest was executed by operatives from Zone 2 Police Command, situated in Onikan, and not by the Lagos State Command. This detail was provided to Punch Newspapers.
A source close to the Aloba family corroborated the arrest of Koleosho immediately after the court session. The source indicated that the arrest followed a verbal exchange between Koleosho and Yomi Fabiyi concerning the phone dispute. The source also mentioned that the origin of the arresting officers was unclear.
The legal dispute stems from Adura Aloba’s accusation that Damola Ayinde and Yomi Fabiyi used the phone he sold to them to compromise his TikTok account and damage his reputation. The involvement of Yomi Fabiyi has become a focal point of the family’s concern and public outcry.
The whereabouts of Adura Aloba remain unknown to his family at this time as authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the arrest.
