The family of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, has revealed that they conducted a second autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
This comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding the circumstances of his passing.
According to the father of the deceased, Mr Joseph Aloba, the family requested a second autopsy, which was ordered by Magistrate Ms T.A. Shotobi of the Coroner Court.
“The procedure was witnessed by a forensic pathologist appointed by the family, their legal representatives, and Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, who was represented by her legal team.
“The autopsy is a two-part process, with the first part now completed. If the cause of death cannot be determined from the initial examination, the second part will proceed, involving toxicology and histology tests on the necessary samples.
This development follows a court order issued on the 26th of June, 2024, permitting Mr Aloba to hire a certified pathologist for an independent autopsy on his late son.
The family’s pursuit of answers persists as they strive to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s tragic death.
