Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has shared details of the health ordeal she endured over the past two weeks while still managing to deliver a performance in Ondo State.
In a candid social media video captioned, “Money cannot buy you health o na God!”, the music star opened up about her struggle with malaria, which she attributed to the mosquito population in Ikate.
“Ah, e no go better for all the mosquitos wey dey for Ikate. Oba, you need to find something to do about the mosquitos because malaria had me down,” she said humorously.
Despite feeling weak and unable to eat for days, the “Uyo Meyo” crooner revealed that she still honored her performance commitment in Ondo, driven by the reality of financial responsibilities.
“I went to go and perform in Ondo as I was sick—because who will feed me? Any money that enters sugar mummy account does not use to come back outside,” she quipped.
