Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), sharply rebuked former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi on Wednesday, labeling him a “portrait of frustration” and accusing him of sensationalizing the challenges Nigerians face due to President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms.
In a statement, Morka criticized Obi for his remarks during a Tuesday television interview, where the former Anambra Governor had criticized the President’s economic policies and claimed that he could have done better in office.
Morka dismissed Obi’s criticism as a futile attempt to cobble together arguments against the administration’s ongoing progress, calling it a reflection of political desperation and failure.
“It is delusional for a man who couldn’t manage 21 local governments in Anambra State to fantasize about managing the entire country,” Morka stated.
He emphasized that Obi’s negative framing of Nigeria’s economic challenges ignored the significant strides the administration had made, as acknowledged by global experts and institutions.

Morka further accused Obi of deflecting from his own administration’s shortcomings in Anambra, describing it as one marked by “economic stagnation, infrastructural decay, ecological disaster, and religious polarization.”
He pointed out that while the APC government’s successes are evident across various sectors, Obi and his political allies are attempting to score cheap political points by disregarding the tangible progress achieved under President Tinubu.
Morka concluded by stressing that opposition politics should involve fair critique and acknowledgment of successes, not misleading attacks aimed at undermining the country’s progress.
