Some motorists on Tuesday protested around Onigari, at the Ogun State end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, after some strayed cows caused an accident on the road.
FirstNews gathered that the accident occurred when some herders allowed their cows to stray on the road and caused an accident with a truck.
It was learnt that the herders immediately fled the scene to avoid being arrested.
An eyewitness said the motorist had blocked the expressway over the development, saying that people were injured in the accident.
Recall FirstNews had reported that southern governors in their meeting conveyed in Asaba, Delta State, last week had in their communique banned open grazing in the region.
