Mr Macaroni Criticises President Tinubu Over Insecurity, Says Abductions Reflect ‘Incompetence’

Nigerian actor and social activist, Mr Macaroni, has sharply criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the country’s worsening security situation, accusing the administration of failing to protect citizens from escalating terrorist attacks and mass abductions.

In a strongly worded post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, the comedian reminded the President of his past claims that he possessed the solutions to end terrorism and that any leader unable to secure the nation was “incompetent.”

“President Tinubu, you said you had all the answers to end terrorism! You said any President who could not protect the people is incompetent!” he wrote, referencing Tinubu’s statements while in opposition.

Mr Macaroni went on to condemn the recurring cases of schoolchildren being kidnapped across the country, saying such tragedies are a direct consequence of leadership failure.

“Any school child that has been abducted is a result of your incompetence!! The blood of Nigerians being shed as an act of terrorism is on your head!!!” he added.

His remarks come amid renewed public outrage over a fresh wave of kidnappings and violent attacks in several states, sparking urgent calls for the federal government to implement decisive, transparent, and effective security reforms.

Mr Macaroni, known for his vocal stance on governance and human rights, has consistently used his platform to advocate for accountability. His latest comments reflect growing frustration among citizens who say promises of improved security remain unfulfilled nearly halfway into the administration.

The Presidency has yet to issue a response to the actor’s criticisms as conversations on insecurity continue to dominate national discourse.
