Nigerian singer Mr Real has accused music star D’banj of exploiting him during their two-year working relationship, claiming he received only $500 in total for his contributions.
In an interview with HipTV, the Legbegbe crooner said he felt used and abandoned despite his efforts and loyalty. “D’banj ripped me, no be say allegedly, he did,” Mr Real stated. “You can’t be with a man for two years and the only thing you gain from this person is $500. What kind of wickedness and selfishness is that?”
Mr Real criticized D’banj for failing to support his career or provide industry opportunities, despite presenting him as an ambassador for his Cream Platform. “Giving money is different, let’s leave money. Are you telling me Banga no get connect to even put me on some of the things?” he asked.
He also recalled moments when D’banj flaunted luxury cars while he struggled with basic needs. “I see one car wey you carry come… you carry am park am while me I no get car and you dey see me dey carry Uber come your house,” Mr Real lamented.

The singer, who rose to fame with his hit single Legbegbe, expressed disappointment over the lack of returns from his time with D’banj and said that only the memory of his late mother could give him the strength to forgive the veteran musician.
As of press time, D’banj has not responded to the allegations.
