Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem has said that he sees music as a platform to speak for the voiceless.
Abdulkareem’s recent track, ‘Tell Your Papa’, was recently banned by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), sparking debates.
The singer made this known on Monday’s edition of Channels television’s The Morning Brief.
Abdulkareem, who is popular for his song ‘Jaga Jaga’, which was critical of the then President, Olusegun Obasanjo, recently released a new song titled ‘Tell Your Papa’ directed at President Bola Tinubu’s son Seyi.
In the song, the singer criticised the President for the worsening economy and hardship in the country.
