NAF Confirms Unguwan Gangare Incident, Orders Probe

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially acknowledged an incident involving its personnel and civilians on the 26th of February, 2025, at Unguwan Gangare, Barakallahu, Kaduna State.

In a statement, Air Vice Marshal Olusola F. Akinboyewa, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, confirmed that several individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention at the 461 NAF Hospital.

“Additionally, we deeply regret the loss of a life and have reached out to the family of the deceased to express our condolences and assure them of a thorough investigation and justice,” the statement read.

The NAF emphasized its unwavering commitment to professionalism and discipline, assuring the public that a full-scale investigation is already in progress to unravel the circumstances of the incident.

“Any personnel found culpable will face the full weight of the law in line with our commitment to justice and accountability.

“We urge members of the public to remain calm as we work diligently to ascertain the facts and ensure that appropriate actions are taken,” the statement added.
